RIDNAIC Paper: RISE-UP An Interdisciplinary Learning Tool to Generate Sustainable and Resilient Infrastructure

RISE-UP faculty co-author a paper that highlights the “Resilient Infrastructure and
Sustainability Education – Undergraduate Program” (RISE-UP) and was published in the
International Journal of Natural Disasters, Accidents and Civil
Infrastructure
(RIDNAIC). RISE-UP seeks to develop a new generation of
engineering and architecture professionals who work in an integrated manner to
address challenges caused by natural events, based on an interdisciplinary
Project-Based Learning (PBL) approach. During the RISE-UP curriculum, students are
involved in case studies, planning, information technology and the application of
concepts learned in an integrated design project.
