As a memorable event for the University of Puerto Rico, a group of 30 students from the Mayagüez (UPRM), Río Piedras (UPRRP) and Ponce (UPRP) campuses met last Saturday, August 17, 2019 to begin what represents the first course of the Resilient Infrastructure and Sustainability Education – Undergraduate Program (RISE-UP) curricular sequence. The day began with the reception of the acting Dean of Students, Professor Jonathan Muñoz, who welcomed the first group of students who will participate in the educational experience. Among the programs involved in the project are civil engineering, electrical engineering, engineering and materials sciences, and surveying from UPRM, environmental design from UPRRP, and the articulated engineering program and associate degree in engineering from UPRP.
