RISE-UP Students Presented at 2020 Building HSI Learning Resilience in the Face of Crises Conference

RISE-UP students Dem Santiago, Elmer Irizarry, and Henry López presented their experience participating in a virtual interdisciplinary undergraduate research during the pandemic at the 2020 Building HSI Learning Resilience in the Face of Crises Conference which has held virtually due to COVID-19. During the presentation, they discussed how they collaborated remotely to develop interdisciplinary solutions to infrastructure challenges. They also discussed how group meetings and meetings with faculty were organized and held (including the platforms that were used to complete the work). Finally, they discussed the lessons learned and shared advice for students considering participating in virtual undergraduate research experience.
