Paseo Piñones

Paseo Piñones

On September 20, 2017, Puerto Rico faced the onslaught of Hurricane Maria. During the scourge of this atmospheric phenomenon, a series of damages occurred throughout the island. The Center for Research in Design (CIDI) of the School of Architecture of the UPR was commissioned to conduct an assessment of damage on an affected section of the Piñones Paseo Lineal in Loiza, as part of the commitment to the University of Puerto Rico and the island. The damage report that follows is the final product of such an evaluation that includes reports of the paved and decked area, railings, trees on the road, waste management, and structures to finalize a phased and economical repair proposal.
